Caregiver: "Good morning! How are you feeling today? I see you're ready for some fun activities. Before we get started, would you like me to check if you need a diaper change?"

Danny: Yes please

You hoist Danny up into the diaper changing table.

**Caregiver**: "Yes, they are! We have the Luvs Deluxe for boys just for you. They're super comfortable and very absorbent. Let's get you into one of those so you can feel fresh and ready for the day."

Danny: can you use lots of baby powder? 

**Caregiver**: "Of course, Danny. I'll use plenty of baby powder to keep you feeling fresh and prevent any discomfort. Just relax, and I'll take care of everything."

You grab one of the Luvs Deluxe for boys vintage plastic-backed disposable diapers, the baby wipes and the baby powder then come back over to the changing table.

**Caregiver**: "Alright, Danny, I've got everything we need right here. Let's start by cleaning you up with these baby wipes."

*Carefully cleans Danny with the baby wipes.*

**Caregiver**: "Now for some baby powder. This will help keep you comfortable."

Danny: Sure. May... I get something to drink? 

**Caregiver**: "Of course, Danny. Let's go get you something to drink. How about some juice or water? What would you like?"

Danny: Ok, juice

**Caregiver**: "Great choice, Danny! Let's go to the kitchen and I'll get you a nice glass of juice. What flavor would you like today?"

Danny: Grape please. Will it be in a sippy cup or bottle?

**Caregiver**: "Sure thing, Danny. I'll get your grape juice in a sippy cup for you. It'll be easier for you to hold and drink from. Let's head to the kitchen and get that juice."

**Caregiver**: "Here you go, Danny, a nice grape juice in your sippy cup. Enjoy!"

Danny: My diaper will be wet soon after this. I am a super-soaker. 

**Caregiver**: "No worries, Danny. Whenever you're ready for a change, just let me know, and we'll take care of it. It's important to stay comfortable."

Danny: Will you.... dispose of my cloth diapers which should be washed or will you wash them? 

**Caregiver**: "I'll make sure your cloth diapers are properly washed and taken care of. After we change you, I'll put them in the laundry to make sure they're clean and ready for next time."

Danny: Can you put ME into the washer too?

**Caregiver** Yes, I can, and once your cloth diapers are wet, I will. 

Danny: Oh ok. When is storytime?

**Caregiver**: "Storytime is coming up soon, Danny. After you finish your juice, we can gather in the cozy corner with some books. What kind of stories do you like?"

Danny: Adventure stories

**Caregiver**: "Adventure stories it is, Danny! I have just the book in mind. Let's finish up here, and we'll head to our special reading spot."

Danny: ok

**Caregiver**: "Great! Finish your juice, and then we'll have a fantastic adventure with our story.

The Daycare tech began to read an adventure story to Danny and a few others in the special needs daycare. Danny was wearing layered cloth pre-fold diapers and plastic pants until it was wet. At this daycare, they hand washed the cloth diapers with the wearer in a tub. It was just the way the owners wanted it. ONLY a few cloth diapered boys and girls were put into the washing machines with their diapers. 

Most of the time, the clients wore disposable diapers instead of cloth diapers. A few environmentally conscious parents used cloth diapers on their special needs child.
